IT ARRIVED! My Anniversary / Birthday gift. It’s the most beautiful gift I’ve ever received. Not only is it BEAUTIFUL but it is SO useful!
My husband was flipping channels – as is his nature – and he came across QVC offering the Keurig Platinum Brewer, with 4 boxes of Kcups, the My Kcup filter, and water filter unit – at a price better than you can get the single Keurig Platinum Brewer in stores.
Believe me – I looked. I entered every Keurig giveaway I could find. I googled for them. I stalked blogs and entered comments and posted buttons on my blog in hopes of winning. I didn’t even care if it was the mini – the newest model – or the Platinum.
I’d read the reviews and knew this was the coffee maker of my wildest dreams.
And my sweet, wonderful husband ordered it for me!
ACK! I was beside myself – on pins and needles – waiting for it to arrive.
And on Monday – our 6th wedding anniversary – it arrived.
It’s a cinnamon color (think: Barn Red) – and I’ve already gone through half a box of Kcups… Okay – my husband had one and my mother in law even tried a “high-falutin’” cup of coffee…
Can I tell you WHY? Well, I’m going to even if you say “no.”
The fact that it brews one cup at a time is PERFECT for our house. My hubby is a 10-cup coffeepot brewer. Almost every time. And I only drink one or two cups. And he MIGHT only drink one. That leaves a half a pot of coffee that gets dumped down the drain.
Not cheap when it happens 3-4 times a week.
The Kcups – tend to cost about 50 cents each – sometimes less because of a sale. I am an admitted Coffee Shop visitor – willing to plunk almost $2 down for a good (large) cup of coffee.
Again – not cheap when it happens 1-2 times a week.
Buying the Kcups and having variety – as I would in a coffee shop – gives me the SENSE of visiting my favorite cafe, while I’m still in the COMFORT of my jammies and slippers. AND my hubby & I can have different kinds of coffee at any moment.
It will brew tea. It will make hot cocoa. It will brew espresso strength coffee for a great latte. It will brew 3 different sizes (although I’ve set the default for “large”). And with the My Kcup filter – I can use my own favorite ground coffee – to save even more money!
All in all – it’s my favorite Anniversary/ Birthday present EVER!
And today – on my 40th birthday – it is some Thing I Love!!!

Hubs loves new gadgets like that. He got a Bunn commercial not that long ago. He is so happy!
Happy BIRTHDAY!!!!
Happy Birthday! I had a Senseo single serve, and I really enjoyed it. I used it for probably about a year and a half on a regular basis- it was a nice treat for myself and saved money from my Starbucks run. Once we started ttc, I used it less and less until it got lost in the move. Now that my daughter is 10 months old, it may be time to consider a replacement! Enjoy your coffee- and your birthday!
Congratulations!
. But K-Cups for it not cheap. Actually 40c-50c per cup. Here’s website K-Cup Coffee coupons if you interesting.
I love Keurig Brewer as well. Makes Great coffee – fast, easy and no mess
