Today, I am celebrating my 6th anniversary with my husband, Roy. Friday was his birthday – today is our anniversary, and I turn 40 on Thursday. We decided to model some Jewish holidays and celebrate for a week! I like it!
We are spending the day together today – away from home – just the 2 of us. I’m looking forward to it! We don’t have specific plans (that I know of), but it’ll be fun to have several hours together.
Our wedding day was just beautiful. There was a great layer of sparkly whit snow on the ground. It was cold but bright with sunshine. I’m praying we have sunshine today, too – and hope we get to have a great cup of coffee together somewhere!
I think for our 10th anniverary, I’d love to have a smaller version of our wedding cake. Our cake was made by a local baker who did a PERFECT job. I dont have a picture to post today – but maybe I’ll get one. It was 3 separate layers all designed to look like gift packages. One was red velvet, one was chocolate mocha, and one was vanilla raspberry.
Now that I’m hungry and craving coffee – its time to go get ready for my day!
I’m not being very “domestic” in the sense of keeping house – but very much in the sense of being a wife today!
How do YOU celebrate your anniversary? Do you have any anniversary traditions?
