Works for Me: Index Cards

By CoffeeMom | December 16, 2009

I’m a list maker – a note taker – a jotter.

Besides my ever growing collection of purple-inked pens, I have become quite a fan of index cards.  My preferred size is 4×6 – they’re big enough for me to write a good sized list on, but still sized to fit into my Day planner or Homekeeper notebook!

Another useful tool is the pack of 3×5 cards – with post-it like adhesive on the back – which comes in handy for keeping on top of more than one list at a time, or making a list to remember for a specific day or occasion!

I have become accustomed to keeping track of grocery lists, To do tasks, goals and projects, and all kinds of things with my index cards.  They’re smaller to discard / recycle – and very often, I can keep them for ongoing projects (like holiday preparations, vacation planning, etc.)

Rather than lugging around a huge notepad or binder, I can tuck these into side pockets of my purse or bag along with a pen and use them in a snap.  They keep me sane more often than not, and they’re also great for keeping Scripture verses handy

Having index cards of different sizes on spiral or ring bound clips is also handy for purses or bookbags.  These inexpensive little tools absolutely Work for Me!!!
