Awesome job boo. I pray she keeps it up for you. I remember how wonderful it was to be able to go anywhere or even just be at home and not worry about accidents now I am doing it all over again. lol
It took us a while to get out of the pull ups at night but I did not rush it.
We are working on that now. The last time I went to buy pullups, the price floored me. So, we switched to cloth again. I was thinking – silly me – that she would feel wet and it would wake her up. No luck there!!! So, now I make her go potty before she goes to bed, I wake her up before I go to bed for the night to go and am trying to wake her up earlier in the morning so that she can have a dry night. (As my aunt says – the old fashioned way works the best – I am not convinced yet…lol).
I had this same problem with my oldest and we ended up using the wetness alarm at night. It was a bit expensive, but worth it in the long run. I am thinking of pulling the alarm out now, but I am not sure that she is ready for it.
My oldest daughter will be 4 yrs old next month, and she still wears pull ups at night, but usually they are dry now. It’s happened just the latter part of this month. Last night we actually forgot to have her put a pull up on, and she kept her underwear dry too! I think it’s a sign. No more pull ups at night! I always have her go potty right before getting into bed, and I get her up before I go to bed, and she is supposed to go by herself as soon as she wakes up in the morning. This is the method my mom used, and my grandmother too. I think it’s the best! But of course, they didn’t have pull ups back then, just underwear or thick training pants.
